Kano state house of assembly has reiterated it’s commitment to passing laws aimed at protecting and uplifting the standard of living among people.

The majority leader Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari stated this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of activities that took place at the house of assembly in the last 12 months.

According to him, the kano state house of assembly has passed 19 bills into law,14 are awaiting passage,while the a total number of 117 bills were received in the year under review.

Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari said some of the bills passed and signed by the executive arm include, Kano state public debt management, Kano state assembly services commission bill, Kano state revenue administration and consolidation bill 2021,among others.

The majority leader pointed out that the Kano state child protection bill and other important bills would soon be passed into law to ensure development of the state.

He attributed the success achieved by the Kano state house of assembly to the cordial working relationship between the executive and legislative arm of government in the state..

Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari urged the general public to compliment government’s efforts by sending their wards to schools and abiding by laid down protocols of covid-19 to curtail the spread of the deadly infection.
