Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has offered scholarships to first degree to the 16 students who won the president’s schools debate.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin said, the students feat in the competition has again strengthened confidence in the public school system in the state.
The statement pledged the state government’s continuous investment in human capital development.
It commended the public school children for the feat that is another first in the history of the state.
The statement said the state government and people of Kwara State are proud of the students, their teachers, authorities of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education (KWSUBEB), as well as their parents .
The statement urged members of the public and relevant stakeholders to support the state governments ongoing efforts in the education sector.
