All Progressive Congress APC in zamfara state has conducted parallel congress for the new executives of the party in all the fourteen local government councils.

The Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa’s faction said, it conducted parallel congress for the new executives of the party following the dissolution of the elected executives of the party by the national body.

This was made known by the state faction chairman of the APC known as (APC mai jama’a) under Senator Marafa’s faction, Alh. Surajo Maikatako in an interview with Newsmen in Gusau shortly after the parallel congress.

According to him, the parallel congress was conducted peacefully and also commended the security agencies for the support given to them for the peaceful and Hitch free exercise.

Maikatako further lamented that the National leadership of the APC under the leadership of Maimala Buni had taken sides with the state government without considering them

He pointed out that immediately after the state APC congress, they will drag the national leadership of the party to court to challenge their action.

However, the All Progressive Congress APC under the former governor Abdulaziz Yari faction said it boycotted the local government councils party congress pending on the judgement of their case before the federal high court Gusau.

The Publicity secretary of the APC under Yari’s faction, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji made the disclosure in Gusau the state capital.

According to him, the Federal High Court sitting in Gusau had restrained both factions from taking any action pertaining to Party issues until the determination of the case.

Similarly, the Governor Bello Matawalle’s side has conducted their local governments Congress in all the 14 local government areas

Speaking to newsmen in Maradun local government, Governor Matawalle urged the elected party leaders to discharge their duties with the fear of Almighty God and to obey the party’s constitution.
