Federal Capital Territory-Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has disclaimed fake appointment letters in circulation, saying it is a ploy to defraud unsuspected Nigerians.

This is contained in a statement signed by the FCT-IRS Head, Corporate Communications, Mustapha Sumaila in Abuja.

The statement says FCT-IRS is not currently recruiting and hereby cautions the general public to be careful not to fall victims of these unscrupulous elements.

It urges the general public to be wary of the activities of these fraudsters who are out to defraud them of their hard earned savings.

The statement says the fake employment letters did not emanate from FCT-IRS therefore anyone who patronises such fraudsters does that at his or her peril.

The agency in the Statement also vows to beam its search light on the perpetrators to bring them to book.
