Defence Minister Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi with Lagos state Committee of retired Generals

Defence Minister Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) has assured that the sacrifices of serving and retired members of the Nigerian Armed Forces will not be in vain.

Special Assistant on media and publicity Alh Muhammad Abdulkadir In a statement in Kaduna gave the assurance when members of the Committee of retired Generals of Lagos state paid him a courtesy visit at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters Abuja.

He noted that President Muhammadu Buhari was passionate about wellbeing of the military retirees, stressing that retirees were enjoying prompt payment of improved pensions and entitlements under the present administration.

The Minister thanked them for the visit aim which aim at showing appreciation to the President for making life of the Military retirees much better.

In a remark, chairman committee of Generals of the Nigerian Armed Forces in Lagos Air vice Marshal Bayo Lawal (rtd) expressed gratitude to President Buhari for approving improved welfare package they had been agitating for over the years. COV/Usman Sani.
