Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar has been described as a leader who’s vision and mission is centred in promoting peaceful coexistence between ethics and religious differences in the country.
The Shehu Borno Alh. Abubakar Umar Garbai made the remarks at the fifteenth anniversary public lecture of Sultan Muhammad Saad Abubakar currently taking place in Sokoto state.
Alhaji Abubakar Garbai said the present Sultan would surely leave footprints that would continue to withstand the test of time in the history of Sokoto Caliphate.
He stressed that the Sultan devoted his time to ensuring the unity of Nigeria.
Also speaking at the event, an international Islamic preacher, Mufti Ismael Ment tasked Muslims In the country to remain just in the way of Allah and cautioned them on religious tolerance.
He said tolerance and understanding was central to ensuring peaceful coexistence and development in the country.
