The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, has laid the foundation for the construction of the Presidential wing of the State House Clinic, Abuja.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Professor Gambari said the facility would provide the needed medicare for the President of Nigeria, his Vice, and other government officials.

The Chief of Staff said the project was a humble beginning that would outlive the current administration, and serve many generations yet unborn.

He urged the construction company handling the project to commence work immediately and complete the project within the timeframe allocated.

The Permanent Secretary in charge of State House, Alhaji Tijjani Umar, had said the completion of the project would save the country huge sums of foreign exchange.

While explaining the importance of the project, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said the facility would also serve visiting Presidents and senior members of the State House.
