Women in the country have been urged to embrace federal government initiative in economic empowerment through capacity building and innovations to improve their wellbeing.

The Director-General of Michael Imoudu Institute For Labour Studies (MIILS), Comrade Issa Aremu, made the call while Speaking at the opening ceremony of a two-day training on Advocacy and Communications For Women’s Economic Empowerment, organized by the institute in Ilorin.

He said the initiative is in line with President Buhari agenda in women development.

Comrade Aremu advised women to work for the development of democracy to make themselves economically viable.

In his remark one of the facilitator of the training ,Malam Umar Kawu said that the programme was organized to prepare Nigerian women to take the lead and be part of strategic decision-making in economy, politics and national security.
