Kebbi State Government has confirmed the released of thirty abducted students of Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri after four months in captivity.

While addressing the students at Government House Birnin Kebbi, Governor Atiku Bagudu, thanked God for their release

Governor Bagudu, said efforts were ongoing to secure the release of the remaining abductees.

He directed that, the students should undergo medical screening and be supported before being reunited with their families.

The thirty released abductees, comprised of three teachers, two males and one female; while the students includes two girls and 25 boys.

Journalists were not allowed to take photographs of the released students due to security reasons.
