Former member of the House of Representatives from Katsina state Dr Usman Bugaje has said that restructuring is not the solution to myriad of problems confronting Nigeria.

He stated this during the Maitama Sule leadership lecture series organsed by students wings of Coalition of Northern Groups held in Minna Niger state.

Dr Usman Bugaje opined that competent leadership remain the only viable option in addressing multiple problems bedeviling the country.

According to him for Nigeria to get it right the next group of leaders must be knowledgeable experience and poses character which he said the current leadership lacks.

Dr Usman Bugaje however lamented that despite the twenty years of democracy in Nigeria trust between leaders and the governed has continue to diminish day by day stressing that restructuring is never a solution to current woes confronting Nigeria but change in leadership.

Former Katsina state Gubernatorial Aspirant Dr Usman Bugaje would also wants Nigerian youths not to vote and support any politician blindly instead should go for those with knowledge experience and character towards achieving position results.

In a key note address a member Northern Forum Dr Sadiq Umar Abubakar said that for next election the North would support any Nigerian that has character and leadership qualities irrespective of state he comes from.

North Central Coordinator of the Coalition of Northern Group Comrade Mohammad Muhammad explained that purpose of the lecture is to set an agenda for the way forward in leadership and governance in Northern Nigeria.
