Suspected Bandits stormed Kuryar Madaro Village in Kaura Namoda LGA in Zamfara state and burnt down houses, food Stores, Vehicles and killed 18 persons.

According to the residents of the area, the bandits arrived at the village at about 10:20 pm shooting sporadically and blocked all entrances to the village to deny access to exit the village.

The suspected bandits have burnt Police Patrol Van, luxury and Commercial Cars and Lorries as well as Houses, Shops and other valuables.

A resident of the village said the bandits operated in the village from 10:20 pm up to about 3 am on Tuesday.

The Zamfara State Police Command through its Spokesperson, SP Shehu Muhammad said, it has deployed security personnel to the area to restore normalcy and arrest the perpetrators
