Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has launched 100 tricycles to ease transportation, stimulate economic activities, and reduce poverty.

Performing the official launch of the scheme at the government house Ilorin, govenor AbdulRazq also enrolled members of the Tricycle Owners on the informal package of the state’s health insurance scheme.

According to him the launching of the 100 tricycles which the state government guaranteed for the beneficiaries is done through a partnership with SEAP Microfinance Institute and other stakeholders.

He explained that his administration had also implemented four major programmes and interventions that are meant to prevent the people from falling into destitution.

AbdulRazaq congratulated the beneficiaries of the first phase of the community transport intervention project and urged other transport unions to continue to work with the state government to ensure coordination, safety, and general security.
