Federal Government has pledged to ensure the establishment of oxygen plant in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
Minister of Health Dr Osagie Ehanire made this known when he stopped over at the Teaching Hospital during his visit to the wedding ceremony of Mr President’s son Alhaji Yusuf Muhd Buhari and the daughter of the Emir of Bichi princess Zahrah Nasiru Ado Bayero.
Dr Osagie reiterated that in an effort to ensure the hospital had sufficient oxygen at all time arrangement would be made to link the hospital with the liquid gas pipe from Lagos through Global Research Funds.
The Minister later visited the temporary Covid 19 Isolation ward of the hospital, the new 20 beds Covid 19 Isolation ward which is almost completed and the recently commissioned Intensive Care Unit.
The Minister was received by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe alone with the top management of AKTH,the Directors of Administration of Dala Orthopedic Hospital, Alhaji Nasir Harazimi and that of Federal Medical Center Birnin Kudu, Alhaji Mu’azu Muhd.
