President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to procure Madagascar’s COVID-19 cure syrup for trial in Nigeria.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force –PTF on COVID 19, Boss Mustapha announced this development at its daily briefing in Abuja.
Mr Mustapha said the Country would soon take delivery of the herbal cure for coronavirus from Madagascar for trial in Nigeria.
The SGF noted that upon delivery, the syrup would be thoroughly tested by relevant Agencies of Government.
He confirmed that the medicine was reported to have cured many confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Madagascar.
Chairman of the PTF further requested Governors to take advantage of donations made by the Conference of Catholic Bishops and all other Organizations to support the National Response Plan to COVID-19.
He also condemned attacks on Health Workers in the line of duty by some patients who have become very hostile.
