Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission SIECOM says preparation for the forthcoming local government election in the state has reached eighty five percent completion process.

The Chairman of the Commission, Dr Saratu Binta Dikko who announced this at a news briefing in Kaduna explained that the long awaited batteries for the voting machines had arrived, assuring that, the battery has the capacity of 16 hours duration when fully charge.

According to her, five thousand, eight hundred voting machines were on ground for the election.

She said the commission has sensitized voters with a view to understanding the process of casting vote with the electronic voting machine.

Dr Saratu Binta assured the electorate that, the voting process with the machines is easy and simple.

The SIECOM Chairman advised them to come along with their voters card for them to elect candidate of their choice during the election slated for the 4th of September, 2021.
