Jigawa state government is to transfer Universal Basic Education Board teachers with degree qualification to Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to teach in senior secondary schools across the state.

The state commissioner of Education, Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo made this known to newsmen in Dutse.

He explained that local government staff with teaching qualification would also be transfer together with their salaries and Inducement allowance to the ministry to teach in senior secondary schools.

Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo said the J-teach program would commence in the state for inducted participants with monthly allowance, adding that list of four thousand successful candidates will be released next month.

Similarly, he acknowledged that the first batch of the 160 students, males and females indigenes that were selected to study medicine abroad had already departed the country.

The Commissioner added that, the second batch of the 152 students would also depart the country to Sudan next week.
