kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan

Kaduna State Committee on COVID-19 says food and medicine sellers are permitted to open their shops every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am – 6Pm.

 Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Mr Samuel Aruwan who made this known said the permission was meant to enable citizens stock up food and other essentials.

 He stressed that Customers were expected to observe social distancing which will be strictly enforced in the market.

The Commissioner also noted that Commercial buses were expected to comply with the limit of two persons per row while Motorcycles and Keke Napeps were advised to observe social distancing.

He said prevention of COVID-19 required people to stay at home, wash their hands regularly with soap and water, avoid large gatherings and observe respiratory hygiene.

Mr. Aruwan added that the danger of community transmission was high stressing that the health system cannot cope with a wide outbreak.
