President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Katsina State for Abuja after spending eight days in his country home, Daura for the Eid el-Kabir festival.

Prior to his departure, Friday evening, the President received the guard of honour from troops of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force operating under the Seventeen Brigade and Two-one-three Forward Operation Base respectively.

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, his deputy, Mannir Yakubu, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Tasiu Maigari, other top government officials and a crowd of admirers were on the ground at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport to bid farewell to the President.
