Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has urged the public not to play politics with the security situation in the state and the country in general.

The Governor stated this while receiving the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar who paid him a traditional sallah homage at the Government Lodge, Sokoto.

He stressed the need for people in the state to collaborate with each other irrespective of political differences with a view to curtailing security challenges.

Tambuwal also charged them to be vigilant and report the activities of individuals who supply information to bandits in their domain.

According to him, the state government in collaboration with security agents was making effort towards improving security situation in the state.

The governor noted that the state government had within the first two years of its coming to power constructed about twenty five district heads palaces, assuring that the remaining will be completed.

He thanked the Sultan and traditional rulers in the state for their support and cooperation to all the policies and programmes of the government.

In his remarks, His eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar called on local government councils in the state to collaborate with the traditional rulers for the improvement of security in their areas.
