Independent National Electoral Commission has received some fire fighting trucks donated by the Federal Fire Service.

INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu while recieving the truck said the commission would continue making voters registration easier and a comprehensive list of new polling units would be published next week.

Prof Mahmoud Yakubu said details of locations of registration centres and the procedure for the commencement of online registration would be made available after consultative meetings with stakeholders.

He expressed gratitude to the Federal Fire Service for contributing its quota as a member of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election security towards the commission’s effort to protect lives and property and government infrastructure.

In his address, the Controller General of the Federal fire service, Ibrahim Alhaji Liman represented by the assistant Controller General Samson Karebo appealed to the public to always collaborate with the service in its efforts to serve humanity.
