Federal Government has inaugurated the remodelled Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno state.

The school was destroyed in April, 2014 by the insurgents when they invaded it and abducted over two hundred students in their dormitory.

Minister of Women Affairs Dame Pauline Tallen while inaugurating the remolded Government Secondary School Chibok reassuranced Federal Government’s commitment towards the rescue of the remaining school girls who are still in captivity.

Mrs Pauline Tallen also stressed government commitment to the actualisation of safe schools initiative across the country.

She commended Borno state government for the bold step taken in reconstructing the school and the support been extended to the parents of the abducted girls.

Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum enjoined people of the area not to be dissuaded by the unfortunate incident and continue to send their wards to school.

The Governor assured that both the federal and the state governments were making concerted effort towards the release of the remaining girls.
