The District Head of ancient city of Zungeru in Wushishi local government council of Niger state Malam Al Mustapha Abdullahi and his two wives have been abducted by armed gunmen.
They were said to have been whisked away to an unknown destination.
The gunmen numbering about twenty allegedly stormed the area at about one thirty am Sunday where they located his house and captured him in one of his wife’s room.
Both the Madakin Zungeru and his two wives were abducted in an operation which lasted about thirty minutes according to an eye witness who pleaded anonymity.
Investigation conducted by Radio Nigeria revealed that this has forced a foreign construction company handling seven hundred megawatt Zungeru hydro electricity dam MSSRS CNEEC— SINO hydro to abundone the site for security reasons.
All efforts to get the reaction of police in Niger state proved abortive.
