The Katsina State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Malam Bishir Tanimu Gambo (Walin Dutsinma), has continued the rehabilitation of drainage channels in Dutsinma town as part of efforts to address flooding and improve environmental sanitation.
The project involves the reconstruction of drainage systems with reinforced concrete to ensure the free flow of stormwater, protect homes and roads from flood damage, and create a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
Malam Bishir Tanimu Gambo explained that the drainage rehabilitation is expected to reduce the impact of seasonal flooding while enhancing public infrastructure and environmental safety across the area.
Residents said the intervention reflects the commissioner’s commitment to improving public infrastructure and promoting sustainable development in Dutsinma and other parts of Katsina State.
