Kauru Youth Ambassadors (KYA) have appealed to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, to fulfil his promises on the construction of township roads and improved electricity supply in Kauru Local Government Area.

In a statement, the group commended the governor for constructing and commissioning the 21.85-kilometre Pambeguwa-Kahuta-Kauru Road, describing the project as a landmark intervention that has significantly improved socio-economic activities in the area.

The youths noted that, the road had posed severe challenges to residents, especially during the rainy season, affecting transportation, agricultural activities and access to essential services.

According to KYA, Governor Uba Sani, during the commissioning of the road on February 4, 2026, assured residents of additional development projects, including the construction of township roads and measures to address the persistent electricity challenges facing the area.

The Ambassadors observed that Kauru town, the headquarters of the local government area, still suffers from inadequate road infrastructure, with many roads becoming impassable during the rainy season, thereby limiting access to markets, schools, healthcare facilities and residential areas.

They also lamented the absence of stable electricity supply for decades, saying the situation has adversely affected businesses, discouraged investment and hindered educational and economic development in the community.

KYA commended the state government for the recent award of township road projects in Zaria, noting that the development reflects the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development across Kaduna State.

The group, however, urged Governor Uba Sani to extend similar interventions to Kauru in fulfilment of the promises made to the people during his visit to the area.

The youths reaffirmed their support for the present administration and expressed confidence in the governor’s commitment to equitable development across all parts of the state.

They appealed to the governor to approve the Kauru township roads project and intensify efforts to improve electricity infrastructure in the area, expressing optimism that the promises made to the community would soon be fulfilled.
