President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the people of Borno State following recent terrorist attacks in Maiduguri.

In a statement, the President expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives, sympathized with the injured, and assured residents of the Federal Government’s solidarity during this difficult period.

President Tinubu described the attacks as desperate attempts by terrorist elements under sustained pressure from Nigeria’s armed forces and security agencies, noting that such acts would not weaken the resolve of the nation.

He commended the bravery of troops and civilian task forces for successfully repelling coordinated assaults on military positions, pledging that ongoing operations would be intensified to eliminate all criminal elements.

The President also disclosed that he recently approved additional equipment and operational support for security agencies to strengthen their capacity, adding that security chiefs have been directed to relocate to Maiduguri to take charge of the situation.

He further instructed emergency response agencies to ensure adequate medical care for the injured.

President Tinubu reaffirmed that there is no safe haven for terrorists in Nigeria, stressing that the government will continue to track, confront and defeat all threats to national security.
