The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Kaduna State Chapter, has called on citizens to adopt the culture of conflict resolution in their communities through appropriate channels to promote peace and national development.

The Ameerah of FOMWAN in Kaduna State, Nafisa Musa Isa, made the call during the closing of its 31st Ramadan lecture held in Kaduna.

Hajia Nafisa Musa Isa emphasized that conflict resolution was crucial in addressing societal challenges, noting that many issues affecting homes and communities required wisdom and patience to resolve.

She urged individuals with knowledge and understanding to take responsibility in mediating disputes to foster unity and peaceful coexistence.

According to her, embracing lasting solutions, irrespective of ethnic or religious differences, remained key to sustaining harmony in society.

In his presentation, the guest speaker, Dr. Yahaya Umar Abdullahi, highlighted the importance of resolution and forgiveness in families, workplaces, and places of worship.

He stressed that peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding were essential for national growth.

Dr. Abdullahi also called on religious leaders and government authorities to collaborate in addressing societal challenges.

Also Speaking, Director General kaduna state Bureau of interfaith, Barrister Tahir Umar Tahir, commended FOMWAN for its consistent role in promoting unity and addressing national issues through its programmes, urging Nigerians to embrace love, tolerance, and togetherness.

Participants drawn from various government sectors and women’s organizations also engaged in interactive sessions, sharing experiences and discussing challenges affecting their communities, while pledging to uphold fairness in conflict resolution.
