The President of the Nigeria Youth Cooperation and Progress (NYCOP), Abdulrahman Bashir Saleh, has inaugurated officials to oversee the affairs of the organization in Kaduna State.
The officials are Nura Illiyasu, Acting Chairman; Wisdom Luka, Acting Secretary; Halima Sani Jibril, Treasurer; and Dorcas Elisha, Women Leader.
Saleh said the inauguration was part of efforts to strengthen the organization’s structure and deepen its activities in the state in line with its objectives of youth unity, empowerment, self-reliance and community development.
He said the new officials would be expected to coordinate the affairs of the Kaduna State wing, mobilise members and promote programmes aimed at improving the lives of young people.
According to him, the state leadership will drive initiatives such as skill acquisition, youth empowerment, enlightenment campaigns and humanitarian outreach.
Also speaking, the National Treasurer of NYCOP, Shakirat Oluwatoyin Hamza, urged the newly inaugurated officials to justify the confidence reposed in them by serving with honesty, commitment and unity of purpose.
She called on them to remain focused on the vision of the organization and work towards programmes that would positively impact youths and communities in Kaduna State.
Saleh also appealed to members of the organization in the state to support the new leadership to enable it succeed in its responsibilities.
NYCOP is a youth-focused organization established to unite young Nigerians, promote skill development, encourage self-reliance and support national development.
