Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board says the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Hamim Muhammadu Sanusi has been appointed by Governor Umar Namadi as the state Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj.

The Public Relations officer of the board, Alhaji Habibu Yusuf Adamu disclosed this to Radio Nigeria at the board’s headquarter in Dutse.

According to him, the Emir is appointed as the Amirul Hajj and leader of government delegation along four members of the team for the 2026 hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

Habibu said the four members include, Kachallan Dutse Alhaji Kabiru Ali, Malam Umaru Nasarawa, Chief Imam of Kazaure central mosque Imam Salisu Abubakar and representative of Emir of Gumel.

The PRO added that, all appointments are effective immediately.
