Progressive Governors’ Forum has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening internal democracy, strengthening party structures, and advancing reforms that promote transparency and accountability within the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels nationwide.

The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, gave the assurance at the end of the forum’s meeting in Abuja.

Uzodimma said the forum welcomed a comprehensive briefing by the APC National Chairman on the ongoing nationwide e-registration and digital membership update, which has recorded significant progress.

He added that the process has increased youth participation and integrated National Identity Number (NIN) details, noting that the initiative will enhance data-driven planning, improve demographic insights, and strengthen grassroots engagement across the country.

The Chairman also said the forum reviewed and endorsed the proposed time table already approved by the National Executive Committee of the party for the forthcoming congresses and the national convention.

The forum emphasized on the importance of transparent and connected management in the conduct of congresses and national convention ensuring transparency, consistency, and accountability across all states, including states without APC governments.

“The Forum reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to party unity, internal harmony and underscored the need for responsible leadership and collective discipline in the strengthening of public confidence in the party’s democratic process.”

The forum commended the leadership of the party under the national chairman, Dr. Nentawe and announced a strategic engagements and state visits aimed at reinforcing grassroots structures, strengthening party cohesion and supporting progressive governance across the federation,

The PGF affirmed the collective resolve of the Forum to work in partnership with the APC leadership to advance national development, democratic
consolidation, and people-centered governance, expressing their deepest appreciation to the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

” to having delivered and recovered our economy and for wonderful performance it has shown so far.”

It however, resolved to continue to partner with the Government of APC to advance the interests of the people of Nigeria and ensure good governance at all levels.
