A retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Musa Garba, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State.

Mr. Garba received his membership card at the ADC Sabon gari Ward office in Gusau, amid the presence of party stakeholders and supporters.

Speaking to journalists after the presentation, the former AIG said his decision to join the ADC was a personal one, driven by his desire to contribute to positive leadership and governance in Zamfara State.

He explained that, as a security expert who has just retired from service, expressed believed that, he can contribute his quota towards addressing the security challenges facing the state and improve other sectors.

Musa Garba pointed out that he chose the ADC based on its ideology, which he said aligns with his vision for joining politics.

He expressed excitement over his decision and pledged to work tirelessly for the growth and success of the party at all levels.

In his remarks, the Zamfara State Chairman of the ADC, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, described the defection as a welcome development for the party.

He said the ADC remains a strong and popular political platform in the state and the country at large.

According to him, Musa Garba would enjoy equal rights and opportunities like other party members and would be provided with an enabling environment to contribute meaningfully as a key stakeholder.

“This is a great opportunity for us to thank Almighty Allah for blessing the party with more responsible and valuable members,” the chairman added.
