The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has selected 60 teachers to conduct weekly Hajj induction courses for intending pilgrims across the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Dederi, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Kano.

He said the selection was announced during a meeting held with the instructors at the Board’s headquarters.

According to the statement, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, explained that the teachers will be deployed to 10 designated induction centres across Kano State to ensure effective and comprehensive training for pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The designated centres include the School for Arabic Studies, Ungogo Local Government Area, as well as centres in Gwarzo, Bichi, Rimin Gado, Wudil, Gezawa, Kura, Rano and Tudun Wada Local Government Areas.

Alhaji Danbappa, who was represented by the Head of Pre-Hajj Seminar and Governing Board Member, Malam Tijjani Sani-Maihula, emphasised the need for dedication, discipline and commitment in the discharge of the instructors’ duties.

He charged the selected teachers to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and professionalism, stressing that proper induction is crucial to achieving a smooth and successful Hajj operation.

In his remarks, the Director of Propagation, Education and Enlightenment, Murtala Sani, urged the instructors to uphold the standards of the Board and adequately guide intending pilgrims on the rites of Hajj in line with Islamic teachings and regulations set by relevant authorities.

Sani further assured that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains committed to early preparation and capacity building as part of efforts to improve the welfare and overall performance of Kano State pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj.
