Niger State government says it will continue to promote religious tolerance between adherents of the two major religion Islam and Christianity to fast track speedy development of the state.
The Coordinator to Governor Umar Bago on Christian affairs, Pastor Lawrence Mohammed Isah stated this in a statement issued to Newsmen in Minna, as part of government efforts to ensure peaceful coexistence amongst the two religious bodies.

Pastor Lawrence Isah explained that year 2026 will be a year of renewed hope for Christians compared to the previous years, stressing that in the year 2026 God will restore the lost glory of the state by transforming the state to the satisfaction of Niger lites.
The Coordinator Christian Affairs further expressed hope that in 2026, the state will be free from all forms of evils and wickedness perpetrated by kidnappers and Bandits as well as for the religious bodies to have a rethink towards reawakening their faith to end the problems that have been distorting their peaceful coexistence in the state.
Pastor Lawrence however gave an assurance that with prayers and fasting by the clerics the land have been freed from any devilish Act’s that may likely pose another nightmares to the citizens of the state as one with God is majority..
According to the coordinator the recent embargo lifted by Governor Umar Bago of Niger state on Christian religious knowledge CRK in schools indicates that the Governor is not biased but had equal treatment for all, and urged Niger lites to embrace prayers as the only antidote that detonates any evil plans against them.
