Nasarawa State Police have arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect and recovered a stolen Toyota Prado Sports Utility Vehicle SUV.

A statement issued to newsmen in lafia, by Police Public Relation Officer SP Ramhan Nansel said, the suspect Chigozie Samuel, a resident of Auta Balefi Area, karu local government area was apprehended following credible intelligence on the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle.

The statement said, preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, alongside two other accomplices is now at large, allegedly attacked and robbed the driver of the vehicle at gunpoint in wuse bridge, Abuja, before carting away with the SUV.

It says nemesis caught up with the suspects when the police received actionable information on the stolen vehicle, while the operatives immediately launched a manhunt, leading to the tracing and interception of the vehicle behind the international market, karu.

The statement explained that, upon sighting the police, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee; however, one of them was chased and arrested and the suspect has since confessed to the commission of the crime.
