Over one hundred people have benefited from a free medical outreach in Unguwar Shanu in Kaduna North Local Government Area
The outreach was conducted by a non-governmental organization, Arewa Development Support Initiative, and carried out by medical personnel at the Primary Health Care Center, Unguwar Shanu, Kaduna.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Kaduna State Coordinator, Engineer Abdullahi Hussain, explained that the initiative was aimed to complement government efforts in providing quality healthcare services to the less privileged in society.
Abdullahi Hussain noted that the support initiative resolved to embark on the medical outreach considering the suffering of the downtrodden in terms of medical needs
The coordinator explained that the NGO would continue to create programs that support government efforts aimed at bringing relief to the people of Kaduna State and the country as a whole.
In a remark, the officer in charge of Unguwar Shanu Primary Health Center, Hajiya Aisha Dauda, said the gestures came at a time when people needed medical assistance, adding that the medical intervention would have a great impact.
Representaed by Mal Abdullahi Yahaya Ahmad the admin officer of PHC Unguwar Shanu, Hajia Aisha urged wealthy individuals to focus on rendering medical intervention for better living conditions.
In a remark, community representatives appreciated Arewa Support Initiative for coming to the aid of the community and urged them to continue the intervention, saying their reward is in the hereafter.
They called on beneficiaries to use the drugs as prescribed by experts for their own good.
Also speaking, the beneficiaries thanked the initiators of the free medical intervention for coming to their rescue and promised to use the drugs according to medical directives.
