Arrangements have been concluded by the Broadcasting Corporation of Niger state to organise this year’s productivity award for staff of the corporation in January next year.
General Manager of the Corporation, Mohammed Kolos stated this at the send forth ceremony for some retired staff of Hausa unit of the programme department held at the Corporation’s premises in Minna.
Mohammed Kolos explained that a committee to that effect has been set up and has since swung in to action, making some finishing touches to ensure that the programme comes up in January next year, towards motivating the staff of Radio Niger to do more in restoring the glory of the station.
While commending staff of Hausa service for organizing the event, he said the last time such kind of send forth was organized fifteen years ago by members of RATTAWU, while stressing that transmission of Radio Niger has been digitalized and currently expecting additional solar from UNICEF apart from the one they are now using to sustain it’s two four seven transmission capacity.
In his remarks the Head of Hausa Unit, Malam Yusuf Suleja who thanked the General Manager, Directors and the entire management and staff of Radio Niger for their support and cooperation in making the event a huge success, promised to do more to keep the flag high, and listed Abdullahi Ibrahim, Binta Abdul and Tani Shawai as names of the retirees that have been honoured for impacting positively on their lives.
Speaking on behalf of the retirees, Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim applauded staff of Hausa unit for the gesture, and advised staff of Radio Niger to be dedicated and transparent in the discharge of their duties, while reminding them that if they are looking for money, they won’t get it here, instead if they work with passion and sincerity of purpose the sky will be their starting point.
