Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has intensified efforts to ensure the safety of commuters during the Christmas and New Year festivities across the country.

Corps Marchal Alhaji Muh’d Shehu who stated this in an interview in abuja, solicited necessary cooperation from all and sundry to achieve desired objectives.

Alhaji Muh’d Shehu explained that the commission was interacting with roads construction companies to allow vehicles pass through completed projects to facilitate transportation during the period.

He stressed the need for the media to support enlightenment programmes of the commission for effective impact on stakeholders as part of strategies to reduce road accidents nationwide.

Alhaji Muh’d Shehu however noted that deployment of twenty eight thousand marshals to monitor traffic on the roads of the country was challenging but assured of commitment to meet public aspirations.
