Chairman of the Birnin Kudu local government area in Jigawa state, Dr Builder Muhammad Uba, has executed a project valued at more than 5 million naira to support the implementation of the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Program in the area.

The intervention comprises the renovation of two classrooms and the provision of essential equipment, including sewing machines, a monogram machine donated by AGILE, which Dr. Uba arranged, serviced, and made ready for use, as well as a generator and floor mats aimed at improving training and learning.

The upgrade follows an earlier assessment by a Jigawa State AGILE delegation, which had initially deemed the facilities unsuitable.

The AGILE Program, a Federal Government initiative supported by the Jigawa State Government, is designed to equip young people with skills for self-reliance, with 50 beneficiaries expected to participate in the upcoming training.

Speaking during the project launch, the Birnin Kudu Focal Person for AGILE, Hajiya Maryam Hassan Jibrin commended Dr. Builder Uba for his commitment to community development, applauding his proactive efforts and praying for continued impactful leadership.

Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to youth empowerment, Muhammad Uba promised a special incentive for participants upon successful completion of the program.
