Bandits Abducts Students Of Saint Mary School in Niger

 

Bandits have abducted some unidentified number of students of Saint Mary School, Papiri village in Agwara Local Government Council of Niger state.

 

The bandits were said to have stormed the school around two am riding over thirty motorcycles, and took advantage of a bus that was packed in Papiri to whisk away the students to their prepared location.

 

Some of the pupils however advantage when the bus broke down to escape and return to the community.

 

Investigation conducted by our Correspondent in Minna, revealed that though the school belong to the Christians, both Muslims and Christians pupils were enrolled in the school.

 

Meanwhile , Niger state Government has condemned the abduction of students  and directed security agencies to trail the bandits and rescue the pupils.

 

This is contained in a statement issued to Newsmen in Minna by Secretary to the Niger state Government , Abubakar Usman.

 

According to the statement,  security agencies have commenced full scale investigation and rescue of the pupils.
