A Security Analyst, Retired Major Bashir Galma, has expressed concern over the alleged politicization of insecurity in the country, describing the development as unfortunate.

Retired Major Bashir Galma stated this in an interview in Kaduna while reacting to reports of continued bandit attacks in parts of the Northern geopolitical zone.

He stressed the need for governors in the zone to coordinate serious measures against such attacks, devoid of political affiliation, to justify their mandate of protecting the lives and property of the citizenry.

The security analyst who expressed delight over arrests of criminals purchasing arms for the bandits noted that the police and other personnel should be motivated towards reduction of insurgency to achieve desired objectives.

Retired Major Bashir Galma reminded politicians of the need for peace unity and progress of the country which should not be compromised for ulterior motives in the interest of democracy.
