The House of Representatives has organized a special delegation to participate in an international oil production conference in London, aimed at showcasing Nigeria’s vast potential in the petroleum sector.
Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Alhaji Alhassan Ado Doguwa, who is leading the delegation, said they would push for additional investment to unlock one million barrels of incremental oil production through strengthened collaboration.
According to Alhaji Alhassan Doguwa it was also expected to discuss strategies on direct access to decision makers pertaining to bankable projects and foster cross-sector partnership, build on transparency, efficiency and shared value.
The one million barrels increment is part of reforms for integrity in oil exploration described as necessary to improve revenue from the sector for effective socio economic development.
