In a landmark stride toward strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery, Gwarzo Local Government Area, has commissioned a newly constructed Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Dankado town, located within Sabon Birni Ward.
The event, which symbolizes another milestone in the council’s people-centered development agenda, attracted top government officials, traditional rulers, and community representatives.
The Chairman Gwarzo LGA Dr Mani Tsoho Abdullahi represented by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Abdulmumin Garba Lakwaya, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to improving access to quality and affordable healthcare across all wards of the local government.
He commended the Speaker of the Gwarzo Legislative Council, Ahmad Shehu Sabon Birni, and other councilors for their steadfast collaboration in delivering life-changing projects across the area, noting that such teamwork has been vital to achieving sustainable grassroots development.
In a remark, Ahmad Shehu Sabon Birni described the new PHC as a beacon of hope for the people of Dankado and neighboring villages.
He applauded the local government’s focus on the health sector and pledged continuous legislative support for initiatives that enhance public welfare.
The Head of Gwarzo PHC Department, Alhaji Tukur Makama, also lauded the Chairman’s foresight and sustained investment in healthcare infrastructure.
Alhaji Makama emphasized that the facility will help reduce maternal and infant mortality, expand immunization coverage, and provide timely emergency medical services within the community.
Community leaders, youth organizations, and women’s groups described the project as as timely and apt.
