Jigawa State chapter of the Association of Labourers, Loaders, Offloaders and Porters of Nigeria has inaugurated Malam Abba Zari Malamawa as the new chairman of its Dutse Local Government chapter.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the State Library Complex in Dutse, the State Chairman of the Association, Malam Nasiru Idris Sara, urged the new leader to be fair and just in dealing with members, businessmen, and other key stakeholders in the market sector.
He also called on members of the association to support their leaders and treat business operators with respect, noting their vital role in commercial activities.
Malam Nasiru Idris Sara prayed for the repose of the late Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, and urged the current Emir, Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Sanusi, to continue upholding the values of good leadership, strong character, and fairness to all subjects.
He expressed his determination to work with relevant stakeholders for improved commercial activities in Jigawa state.
He called on the state government to accord the priority needed to boost commerce and industry for the socio economic development of the state.
In a goodwill message, the Chairman Dutse Local Government chapter of the Traders Association Malam Jamilu Maimasara, noted that the establishment of the local chapter of the labourers will strengthen their activities and prayed for Allah to guide him in his new assignment.
Also speaking, the new chairman of the Association of Labourers, Loaders, Off Loaders and Porters of Nigeria Dutse local government chapter, Malam Abba Malamawa expressed his readiness to exercise an open door policy and work with all and sundry to achieve the desired objectives.
An elder in Dutse, Malam Nasiru Manya, described the establishment of the local chapter of the association as a welcome development.
Manya expressed the hope that the measure will add value to labouring job and commercial activities in general.
