The Zamfara State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Kabiru Garba Gusau, has called on the people of the state, particularly youths and women, to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise and ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

He made the call while Journalists in Gusau, shortly after a solidarity visit to the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello in his palace.

Alhaji Kabiru described the PVC as the people’s power, voice, and right to shape a better future for their state and the nation.

He assured that the ADC would continue to champion the cause of hope, integrity, and progress as it works toward transforming the political and socio-economic landscape of Zamfara State.

The ADC chairman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with traditional institutions and building a strong political structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Alhaji Kabiru Garba noted that the visit to the Emir was a significant step toward deepening mutual understanding between the party and the people of Zamfara, emphasizing that traditional institutions play a crucial role in promoting peace, unity, and development.

“Our engagement with the Emir reflects the ADC’s deep respect for traditional rulers as custodians of peace and community values,” he said.

According to him, the ADC remains committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure sustainable development and good governance across Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.

Alhaji Kabiru also emphasized that the party is strategically focused on building a credible and winning structure across all 14 local government areas of the state, with a mission to restore the people’s confidence in leadership anchored on competence, honesty, and accountability.

He commended the party leaders, members of the State Executive Committee, and the organizing team for their unity and dedication, which he said contributed to the success of the visit and the growing strength of the ADC in Zamfara politics’

“Together, we shall move Zamfara forward under the banner of the ADC — the party of hope, integrity, and progress,” he declared.

In his response, the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, welcomed the delegation and commended the ADC leadership for their peaceful conduct and commitment to community development.
