The Kano State Ministry of Education has dismissed reports claiming that the state government has begun the recruitment of 3,917 teachers under a purported “Kano State Government Basic Education Teachers Mapping and Recruitment Plan (2025–2028).”

In a statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, described the report as misleading and baseless, urging the public to disregard the information in its entirety.

According to Kiru, the ministry has not made any official announcement regarding teacher recruitment, nor has it initiated any exercise under the said program.

He advised members of the public to rely only on verified and official information sources, particularly when it concerns sensitive matters such as employment and recruitment.

The ministry further cautioned against the spread of unverified news, noting that false information could mislead citizens and create unnecessary confusion.

Kiru reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to transparency and due process in all education-related programs, assuring that any genuine recruitment exercise would be formally announced through the ministry’s official communication channels and the Kano State Government’s media platforms.
