The residents of Omu Aran community in the Irepodun local government area of Kwara state have commended the state government on the ongoing rehabilitation of Omu Aran water works.
Speaking with newsmen on the development projects in Kwara South district, the traditional ruler of the ancient town, the Olomu of Omu Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Akolade Agboluaje, said the the project is a life saver.
Represented by, Chief Petu Aran of Omu-Aran, High Chief Lawrence Oladele- Ajiboye, the Monarch expressed satisfaction over the water rehabilitation project, saying that the community is in jubilation mood.
He said the community suffered inconveniences during dry seasons,with accompanying stress in search of potable water, adding that the water works project would help many homes and individuals.
Oba Akolade -Agboluaje, explained that the Urban water supply project had been commissioned since 1977 and it once served the whole community with the neighbouring communities.
The monarch, said that growth and development of the town had led to ever increasing expansion of both human development and business environment,noting that the situation, called for higher demand of infrastructural amenities.
