Nasarawa State Government has directed heads of security agencies to investigation the root causes of land dispute in Ndama village, kokona local government area of the state, which led to loss of seven lives.

 

Governor Abdullahi Sule gave the directive during the expanded emergency security meeting held at government house lafia, the state capital.

Governor Abdullahi Sule said the mergency security meeting, followed the recent communal violence in ndama village kokona local government and the increasing rate of kidnappings in lafia the state capital as well as resurgence of a new terrorist groups in parts of the state.

The governor stressing that the meeting was also aimed at taking proactive measures to mitigate security challenges bedeviling parts of the state,
and commended the security agencies for their role in protecting lives and property in the state

He appreciated the nigerian police for deploying additional security to assist in combating criminal activities and expresse concern on how those who perpetrated criminal activities are given unnecessary bail by constituted authorities in the state.

In a remark, the state commissioner of police Shattima Jauro Mohammed said security agencies are working in tirelessly towards combating security challenges in the state.

He called for collective support from traditional and religious leaders as well as members of the public to providing useful information to security agencies to enable them succeed in the discharge of their duties.
