Three members of the House of Representatives from Kaduna State have officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The lawmakers are Abdulkareem Ahmed, representing Kaduna South Federal Constituency; Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency; and Aliyu Mustapha Abdullahi, representing Ikara–Kubau Federal Constituency.

Announcing their defection in a letter addressed to the Speaker, the lawmakers cited internal crises and divisions within the PDP as reasons for their decision to leave the party.

With this development APC has twelve members in the house of Representatives from Kaduna state while PDP has two lawmakers in the green chamber.

‎Radio Nigeria Kaduna reports that Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and other members of the Kaduna State Executive Council were at the green Chamber to witness the defection of the three lawmakers.
