The Kano State Fire Service has confirmed the death of three people in separate tragic incidents that occurred in Tudun Wada and Kano Municipal Local Government Areas.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the first tragedy occurred at Hayin Yawa Gada in Tudun Wada, where two teenagers Habu Sani and Haruna Isah, both aged about 15 drowned in a stream passing under a major road bridge while swimming.

He explained that firefighters from the Tudun Wada Station arrived at the scene and recovered the victims, who were found unconscious but later confirmed dead.

In a similar development, the Fire Service Central Control Room received an emergency call from the P&G Kwalli Police Division reporting the discovery of a human body inside a well at Jaba Masaka, Shago Tara, in Kano Municipal.

Firefighters from the State Headquarters were mobilized to the scene and successfully removed the body from the well.

Eyewitnesses said the victim had been inside the well for about four days before being discovered.

The Kano State Fire Service appealed to parents and community members to closely monitor their children and prevent them from playing near streams, puddles, and other open water bodies to avoid similar tragedies.
