Zamfara State Government has warned that it will not condone any act of negligence or sabotage capable of undermining its ongoing efforts to reform and improve the education sector.

Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), Professor Nasir Garba Anka gave the warning during an unscheduled visit at UBE Primary School, Low Cost Gusau. following reports of stolen and damaged government property.

Public Relations Officer of the Board, Ibrahim Maizare made this known in a statement made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau.

Professor Nasiru Anka expressed deep concern over the poor state of facilities, described the issue as unfortunate.

During the visit he discovered that several items, including chairs, desks, and window frames, had been carted away or destroyed.

Professor Anka described the development as a serious act of negligence and vowed to ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice.

The Executive Chairman immediately directed that, the Headmaster and the school’s security guard to be apprehended for questioning to ascertain how such vandalism occurred under their watch.

Professor Anka reiterated the Board’s commitment to safeguarding public property and maintaining a conducive learning environment in all basic education schools across Zamfara State.
