National Population Commission-NPC has intensified its statewide sensitization campaign with a key engagement with the leadership of the Zazzau Emirate.

The visit is part of the Commission’s outreach across all the twenty-three local government areas of Kaduna State.

Federal Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the Commission, Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi, outlined the processes and benefits of the upcoming digital population and housing census and the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics system.

She emphasized the critical importance of an accurate national census and underscored the legal necessity for all citizens to register births and deaths.

Responding, Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli commended the NPC for its efforts and the innovative adoption of digital technology, describing it as remarkable.

The Federal Commissioner and her entourage were also at Giwa LGA to galvanize grassroots support and ensure widespread public awareness of the upcoming housing and population census.

On his part, Executive Chairman of the Council, Ahmed Abdullahi Sama’ila pledged the Council’s full commitment to the success of the exercise.
